The Anhamm Fire Spillbarrier offers a specially designed solution for containing flammable liquids and liquid fires. Its purely mechanical operation guarantees maximum safety – independent of electrical or hydraulic energy sources.
Step 1: Fluid intake
First, any liquid that enters is completely absorbed by all the openings in the liquid stop barrier tray.
Step 2: Automatic triggering
The spill containment system is activated simply by collecting the spill in the spill containment tray and allowing it to float to the top.
Step 3: Sealing & Retention
Finally, springs fold the barrier into an upright and fully sealed closed position.

Approval according to FM Approval 4985
Based on the existing TÜV-approved design and with three new patents granted, the Liquid Stop barrier has overcome a previous limitation in fire resistance and set a new standard for liquid barriers.
In the world’s largest fire test centre, the liquid stop barrier was tested with a 50MW fire to the limits of the test centre. The complete function of the liquid stop barrier was tested under fire. A highly flammable liquid was used to create a fire with high and rapid temperature development. Using the newly patented heat absorbing technology, the liquid stop barrier remained completely liquid-tight during and after the fire. Even after 30 minutes in the fire, not a single drop of liquid had penetrated the liquid stop barrier seals. And yet the liquid stop barrier had not yet reached its limits. This impressive fire test resulted in FM issuing a new approval for the first time. The first FM approval was for the Anhamm Flammable Liquid Stop Barrier (First in Class).
